Performance Research

The recent issue of Performance Research 'On Fire' (vol 18:1) includes an article by Jeni Walwin entitled Volatile Materials in Image Making: The appeal of fire and explosives in the 20th and 21st century, using the work of Stephen Cripps as a point of articulation.  As well as looking at the work of Stephen Cripps and other artists including Cornelia Parker, Walid Raad, Roger Ackling and Henry Krokatsis Walwin looks at a number of our works, focusing particularly on The Carriers' Prayer.  The article can be downloaded here - but you need an Athens or Shibboleth log-in to access the text.
