The Host (2009)

The Host is a photographic series in which individual images are named after the insect genus Zoraptera, more commonly known as ‘Angel Insects.’

The photographs are created from images of vases of tulips. The tulips were slowly destroyed by having lit matches thrown at them during the making of the related video work, The Four Horsemen (2009).
