Explaining Urbanism to Wild Animals
If you are in Manchester this week you can see our 2003 work 'Explaining Urbanism to Wild Animals' which is showing as part of Unnatural World, presented by Videocity at SEESAW
The
work consists of four short films we shot in the green belt around
Manchester. Using a range of speaker configurations we played recordings
of city-centre construction sites to various habitats. There is no
dialogue and the audio is live, nature sounds which then get drowned out
by drills and jackhammers.
Stills shown here are from 'Burrow',
'Woodland's Edge', 'Pond' and 'Woodland'. The show is curated by Rowan
Bell and also features work by Nick Delap
Unnatural World.
