Meeting Point

We are showing a new work Srdce as part of Meeting Point, at Konstanz Kunstverein. The exhibition is staged across several sites in the town and coincides with the 600 year anniversary of the Council of Constance, an event during which the Czech martyr Jan Hus was famously burnt to death for heresy.
On an altar in the Silvesterkapelle des Münsters sits a wooden heart. Srdce (lit. heart in Czech) is machine carved from a downloaded digital 3D file of a human heart. The wood is a locally sourced piece of 600 year old oak.

The exhibition was curated by Axel Lapp and includes work by Gili AvissarMarc BauerDaniel Gustav Cramer & Haris EpaminondaNick Crowe & Ian RawlinsonMarkus DaumHannes EggerAmit GofferLeah GordonSiggi HoferAzade Köker, Alexej MeschtschanowEriz Moreno ArangurenMarlies Pekarek, Alexandra Vogt.
